It’s been four years since we welcomed our Tesla Model Y into our lives, and it's time for a detailed update. If you’re considering buying a Tesla Model Y, this comprehensive review will provide you with everything you need to know.

We purchased the Tesla Model Y Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive Long Range Edition, which initially boasted about 300 miles of range. Thanks to a software update, we now enjoy around 310 miles. This incremental improvement has been a pleasant surprise, enhancing our confidence in Tesla’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Over the years, we’ve made several customizations to our Tesla Model Y to protect and enhance its performance and aesthetics. One of the first modifications we made was applying paint protection film around the entire vehicle, thanks to our friends at Elite Finish. This addition has been instrumental in preserving the car’s exterior from scratches and minor dings.

We also opted for a ceramic coating on both the exterior and interior surfaces, including the rims. This coating not only gives the car a sleek, glossy finish but also makes it easier to clean and maintain. Additionally, we decided to add a smoke tint to the windows, giving the car a darker, more sophisticated look without altering the headlights or other features.

In terms of performance, the Tesla Model Y has consistently impressed us. The all-wheel-drive system provides excellent traction and handling, making it a joy to drive in various weather conditions. The acceleration is smooth and powerful, living up to Tesla’s reputation for high-performance electric vehicles.

Reliability has also been a strong point for our Model Y. We’ve encountered minimal issues, and any minor concerns were promptly addressed by Tesla’s customer service. Regular software updates have not only improved the range but also introduced new features and enhancements, ensuring the car stays up-to-date with the latest technology.
